Overview


There are many scenarios where you may need to reschedule a job.  Based on whether or not the job has been worked (hours logged, activities completed, custom fields added, etc) you have the following options below.



Rescheduling Before a Job Has Been Worked


Reschedule for Another Date and Time

To reschedule a job for another date and time, you will want to UNSCHEDULE the job and RESCHEDULE it.  To do this, follow the steps below:

  • From the Scheduler view, navigate to the job that needs to be rescheduled
  • Right click on the job to display the menu
  • Select the Unschedule option
  • The job will be returned to the job queue
  • Drag and drop the job to the appropriate Field Technician for the new date and time


Reschedule to Another User

To reschedule a job to another user, simply drag and drop the job to the user's schedule you want to work the job.  If you want to schedule the job to another user on another day, follow the steps in Reschedule for Another Date and Time. 



Rescheduling After a Job Has Been Worked


Reschedule for Another Date and Time

In this scenario, a field tech has already worked part of the job.  This may include logging hours, adding photos, completing activities, etc.  The job should be scheduled in another time slot to be finished (by the same field tech or another field tech). To do this, our recommendation is to follow the steps below:

  • From the Scheduler view:
    • Select the Open option in the job queue to find the job number OR
    • Select the Job/Ref # option in the job queue and enter the Job Number.  Select tab to search the job number.


In this example, Job 3097 is already in "OFF SITE" status on Andy Dwyer's schedule:

  • Now that you've located the job number in the job queue,
  • Drag and drop the job into the date and time slot for the user you want to finish the job.


In this example, we have now scheduled Job 3097 to Andy Dwyer to finish later in the same day.

Note: This will result in 2 job "blocks" on the scheduler for the same job.  



Reschedule the Job in the Future

Many companies have processes where they may need to reschedule a job in the future, but do not know what date or time until they hear from a customer, receive parts, etc.  To do this, our recommendation is to follow the steps below:

  • From the Scheduler view, navigate to the job that needs to be rescheduled
  • Right click on the job to display the menu
  • Select the Suspend option
  • The job will be returned to the job queue
  • The Suspended job will now have a purple rectangle around the job number (see below)
  • The job can now be scheduled at any time in the future
